16th Jan 2017
According to Pantone, their latest colour of the year for 2017 is ‘Greenery’ – A nature inspired symbol of new beginnings.
So what exactly is ‘Greenery’?
Greenery or Pantone 15-0343 as it’s known to designers is a fresh and zesty yellow-green that symbolises the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.
Representation through flourishing foliage and the great outdoors, the attributes of Greenery indicates consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
Often overlooked in a world of corporate greys, whites and glass buildings. Greenery is now being cast into the limelight – it maintains a significant presence around the world as nature’s neutral colour.
The theory behind it is the more people that get submerged in the fast-paced modern life, the greater their desire to escape and immerse in the physical beauty of the natural world.
Expect the Greenery trend to grow on all the things in our daily lives through urban planning, architecture, automotive, fashion and design choices globally.
The future’s bright for 2017, the future’s ‘Greenery’!
